General Motors of Canada Reports July 2007 Sales

Oshawa, Ontario (August 1, 2007) – For July 2007, General Motors of Canada dealers delivered a total of 32,205 vehicles, down slightly by 2.0% over the same month last year.

(Non-adjusted sales results – July 2007 had 24 selling days vs. July 2006 with 25 selling days)
Marc Comeau, GM of Canada’s vice-president of sales, service, and marketing said, “Canadians are buying more GM small utilities. The Chevrolet Equinox and Pontiac Torrent posting a combined increase of 6.0%.””

Comeau added “But when consumers need utility and hauling capability they are choosing the award winning GM full size pickups over the competition. The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra were up more than 5% last month when compared to last July and are up over 16% so far this year.”

Sales Highlights for July

· The Saturn cars and trucks posted a 10% increase in July

· The all new GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave and Saturn Outlook drove mid utility sales up over 37%

· The Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky roadsters were up a combined 90%
